The 12 month rule
In England &
Wales you must complete 12 months of continuous service
before you have any right to bring your unfair dismissal
or constructive dismissal case to an Employment Tribunal.
There are some
exceptions to this rule particularly relating to issues
involving pregnancy, maternity rights, Trade Unions etc.
If you find work within 6 weeks of the dismissal or
termination of employment
This is clearly
a positive step from your personal perspective but it limits
very much the scope you have to pursue the matter legally
on a No win No fee basis.
